January 2005's Band Of
The Month

From left to right: Matt (guitar/vocals), Josh (drums/BGV's),
& Jordan (bass/BGV's)
This Emo/Punk/Screamo trio from the southwestern Nebraska
town of McCook hasn't always had the best of luck.
First there was the infamous Spicy
McHagle Bagles disaster, then there was Dropout High, then their was nothing
for a long time... then there was Nobody's Hero and now it's finally Ashes
to Asphalt!
After a name and style change, AtA picked up speed and headed into the
studio to record their first album. They are now one of McCook's better
known bands mainly because they have played so many shows, and it
doesn't look like they'll be slowing down anytime soon. Future plans include more everything; new songs, new album, more
shows, a music video and a summer tour.
The band is made up of the following members; Matt Hagle, aka Pluggy the Nic
Fit; Josh Henderson, aka Joshy Rotten; and Jordan Zlomke, aka Pimpbot.
Each one bringing their own unique abilities to this increasingly popular
band.
Even after enduring much criticism that followed their
recent album release, Matt Hagle continues to provide the vocals, Josh
continues to prove that he is master of the drums, and Jordan keeps on
rockin' away on bass. With such tracks as I Hope You Can Breathe Dirt,
Between Love And Hate (Get Your Story Straight), and 1,000 Kicks To The
Crotch, it's obvious
this band is in touch with all the relationship struggles
that teenagers and young adults face these days.
